Wraithguard

As I'm trying to develop my sculpting skills I've started making a Wraithguard. I choose the Wraithguard because they are larger, fairly simple detail and you can only buy one pose! This guy has a pectrol type brestplate and I suspect that the he should have a continuous one. However I think that this will look a little more interesting. Here is the progress so far.

Truck

I've been working on a truck for a while now. The structure is made from the left over bits of spruce. The body is styrene sheets and the wheels were looted form old toys. The plans follow the layout printed in one of the White Dwarf magazines. I still have to add the gunner with weapon and the driver. I'm still not sure that the truk is finished. But for now it's playable.

Avatar

This it the Avatar that I sculpted. Hes a bit of an experiment as hes not entierly made from epoxy putty. I used some Scuply for the rune armour on his chest. His wrist guards shoulder plates and helmet details are made from cardboard treated with super glue. I found that soaking cardboard in superglue turnes it into a very hard substance.

Gobsmasher

I made this Gobsmasher about three years ago.

Basically it's made from old CD cases, which I belive are made from a clear form of styrene. I found that it's a really workable material. Curved surfaces are a bit tricky and hence I usually try and design models that don't require them.

I've rently updated it. This means taking off the riverts, which have been replaced with strips and smaller riverts.

Here are some pictures that were taken during construction.

Due to some expressions of interest regarding my 40k activities. I have set up this blog, which should enable people to keep up to date with where my hobbie is going. All I have to do is try and keep it up to date!
